Welcome to John McCandless STEM Charter School (JMC)! I am proud to be the Principal of JMC and to be leading a team of highly motivated, dedicated, and invested individuals. Together, we invite you to join us for the journey in your child’s educational path.

John McCandless is a school of choice in Lincoln Unified due to our Project-Based Learning model and core values of STEM instruction. At JMC, we aim to cultivate students who are active learners, collaborative thinkers, push through challenges, and insert positive impacts in our community.

Our instructional team is intent on providing engaging and hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics instruction, along with additional core subject content areas and electives in art & music. We strive to meet our students where their needs begin so that we can help them develop their own unique style of learning and foster active involvement in their school environment.

In doing so, we are committed to partnering with families in supporting all students to learn, thrive, and be successful. We believe strongly in the power of purposeful relationships; they're the heart of what makes our school community successful!
